New Season, New Goals

Sports may come and go but, memories last forever! Out on the soccer field playing the sport these boys love is where their best memories are made. The boys soccer team is looking to do just that–have a fun and memorable season!  Here at Lyman the boys soccer team has not exactly been known for its success, but this year’s seniors are looking to turn their final season around.

Coach Chuck, the boys soccer coach, is excited for the challenges the season ahead is posed to bring. Coach Chuck has high expectations for his team going into the 2018-2019 season.

“This season I would like to improve our style of play, have an identity, be accountable, and represent the program and Lyman High at all times,” remarked Coach Chuck.

In order to improve the quality of play of the team, they will have to face a strong schedule. They plan to go up against some of the more highly ranked teams in order to challenge themselves. One advantage that the boys plan to take advantage of is they have been playing with each other for a long time and have strong chemistry on the field.

As a whole the team’s main goal is to improve their level of play day in and day out. Although, senior Dylan Ryan has even higher expectations and wants his last seasons to be the best one yet.

“My main goal for this season is to get past the first round of districts which will take some hard-work and dedication,”commented Dylan Ryan.

Make sure to come support the boys team this season. Nothing is better for a team, than to have a fan in the stands. Go Greyhounds!
