Top Tech
February 2nd juniors Calvin Fisher and Allen Wagner competed in the Universal Technical Institute Top Tech Competition. These two students competed against 18 teams from all different parts of Florida in working on cars (ex. the brakes & a/c) and a written test. After a long day of hard work, the boys were awarded first place!
“When they didn’t call our name for 3rd I thought for sure we didn’t place,” junior, Calvin Fisher said.
“It was so surprising I thought it was a mistake when they called us for 1st,” junior, Allen Wagner, agreed.
Due to their first place win, both Calvin and Allen were awarded $10,000 scholarships and received a SnapOn tool box for the automotive career and technical education program. Congratulations Calvin and Allen!
