Khalid – Free Spirit (April 5th)

  • Free Spirit is the upcoming second studio album by Khalid, set to be released on April 5, 2019, through RCA Records. It is the follow-up to his 2018 EP Suncity, and will include the single “Talk”. Khalid also announced the release of a short film directed by Emil Nava to accompany the album.

 

Sara Bareilles – Amidst the Chaos (April 5th)

  • Amidst the Chaos is the sixth upcoming studio album by American singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, scheduled to be released on April 5, 2019, through Epic Records. The lead single from the album, “Armor”, was released digitally on October 26, 2018. Bareilles shared additional details with her fans about what it was like writing the album, letting them know that the last few years have been intense and that she has a lot to say.

 

Blackbear – ANONYMOUS (April 26th)

  • ANONYMOUS is blackbear’s fifth studio album initially expected to release on the 14th of February 2019; however, the release date was rescheduled for the 26th of April 2019. On December 5th 2018 he wrote: “ANONYMOUS MAY BE PUSHED BACK BECAUSE I SIGNED TO A LABEL & IT HAS 2 BE PERFECT ITS MY BEST ALBUM – BOUT TO START DROPPING IT WITHOUT PERMISSION

 

Marina – LOVE+FEAR (April 26th)

  • Love + Fear is the upcoming fourth studio album by Welsh singer Marina Diamandis, known mononymously as Marina. It is scheduled to be released on 26 April 2019 by Atlantic Records. The album is her first body of work in which she is not credited as Marina and the Diamonds. The album is split into two eight-track collections (“Love” and “Fear”), with each collection exploring psychologist Elisabeth Kübler-Ross’ theory that humans are only capable of experiencing the nominal two emotions. It will include the lead single “Handmade Heaven”. The album was announced alongside a tour, which will visit the UK and US, to begin in April 2019 and conclude in October.

 

Ashley Tisdale – Symptoms (May 3rd)

  • Symptoms is the upcoming third studio album by American singer Ashley Tisdale. The album is scheduled to be released through Big Noise Music Group on May 3, 2019. Symptoms follows Tisdale’s second studio album, Guilty Pleasure (2009), marking 10 years since her previous full studio release. In a press release, Tisdale says of the album: “Symptoms is a very personal record. From beginning to end it’s a complete journey of what I experienced. Every song title is a symptom I struggled with when facing my anxiety and depression. I’m not scared of these feelings like I used to be, I’m proud of it and I have this album to celebrate my growth.”

 

 

 

Vampire Weekend – Father of the Bride (May 3rd)

  • Father of the Bride is the upcoming fourth studio album by American indie rock band Vampire Weekend. It will be released on May 3, 2019 by Columbia Records,and was preceded by two double singles: “Harmony Hall” / “2021” and “Sunflower” / “Big Blue”. The album’s release will mark the band’s first project in nearly six years, following Modern Vampires of the City (2013), and the group’s first album since multi-instrumentalist and producer Rostam Batmanglij’s departure from the group.

 

DJ Khaled – Father of Asahd (May 17th)

  • Father of Asahd will be Khaled’s eleventh studio album, and in its trailer’s caption he calls it “My best album up to date.” The latest single from Father of Asahd will feature Cardi B. The song’s release date has not yet been announced, but Khaled calls the song “an anthem.” The album’s first single “No Brainer” featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo, and Chance the Rapper, was released last summer.

 

Lil Kim – 9 (May 17th)

  • 9 is the upcoming fifth studio album by American rapper Lil’ Kim. It is set to release on May 17, 2019 by eOne and Queen Bee Entertainment. The album’s lead single, “Nasty One”, was released on July 11, 2018. The second single “Go Awff”, was released on February 14, 2019. During an interview with Billboard, Kim described the album as a “happy medium” record that she wants in her music, saying: “Things change, and I want to give my fans what I did and little bit of something new. And another thing too: my fans have seen me on some hardcore ****. They’ve seen me on some gutter ‘I’m a gangstress, I will ***** yo *** if you play me or you steal from me.’ They’ve seen that. I’ve done that. And last but not least… I’ve lived that. So it’s like, let’s see another side of Kim. Why not? Let’s see a fun side, a sexy side.” A music video for “Go Awff” debuted March 30.

 

XXXTentacion – ? Deluxe Edition (July 26th)

  • ? Deluxe Edition is triple vinyl edition which includes XXXTentacion’s original album, its corresponding instrumentals, and 2017’s A Ghetto Christmas Carol EP, as well as a bonus LP consisting of new original material, never-before-heard remixes, and unreleased voice memos culled from the ? Sessions. There’s also a pull-out poster, booklet of personal photos detailing every stage of his life, and a special liner notes essay penned by music journalist Gerrick Kennedy.

 

A Boogie wit Da Hoodie – Artist 2.0 (2019)

  • Artist 2.0 is an upcoming album by A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie to be released in 2019. It is a sequel to his debut mixtape, Artist released in 2016. A Boogie has said there will be 13 songs on Artist 2, with no features. In an interview with Tim Westwood A Boogie spoke further on the theme of the album. Due to Hoodie SZN’s success, A Boogie delayed the release of Artist 2.0 and substituted it with A Boogie v.s. Artist, a four track EP which released on February 14 2019. A Boogie announced on February 17 2019 that the project would release as soon as the original Artist album went platinum.

 

 

Azealia Banks – Fantasea ll: The Second Wave (2019)

  • Fantasea II: The Second Wave is the upcoming third studio album by American rapper Azealia Banks, as well as the sequel to her debut mixtape Fantasea. It was set to be released by 2018. Following an incident regarding Banks’ appearance on American television show Wild ‘n Out, she cancelled the album on July 16, 2018. However, in an interview with Rolling Stone on August 28, 2018, Banks confirmed that the album will be released

 

Bastille – Doom Days (2019)

  • Doom Days, was first revealed at the Edinburgh Summer Sessions concert on August 9, 2018. This album has most commonly been described as an “apocalyptic party record.” The album “loosely” tells the story of a night out, starting at a quarter past midnight and going into the next morning. Dan explained to 101WKQX that the nighttime storyline will be used as a “vehicle to talk about lots of other things,” some of which may be inspired by real events in Dan’s life over the past year. That said, the album’s storyline may not be entirely linear. It was also suggested this album would have “quite a lot of variety” and would be a slight nod to nineties music, using similar breakbeats. It is possible this album will again use kitchen utensils, like in Wild World. Dan went in depth on the sound and writing of the album in an interview with NME.

 

Ellie Goulding – EG4 (2019)

  • The title is yet to be determined but Ellie Goulding has confirmed a release of her new album in 2019 has confirmed. Thanks to her stadium-husky voice, deployed on expansive pop full of unabashed emotion, Ellie Goulding has long been one of the UK’s biggest global pop stars. In 2019 she releases her fourth album which, is sure to be another hit. But she also has a stack of ongoing extracurricular activities.

 

Iggy Azalea – In My Defense (2019)

  • In My Defense is the upcoming second studio album by Australian rapper Iggy Azalea. It is set to release in spring of 2019 by Bad Dreams Records and Empire. The album’s lead single, “Sally Walker”, was released on 15 March, 2019. In late 2017, Azalea announced she had left Island Records and had become an independent unsigned artist. In August 2018, Azalea expressed her anticipation to record her album on Twitter. In November, Azalea signed a multi-million dollar distribution deal with Empire after her departure from Island Records. In February 2019, Azalea announced the first single release, “Sally Walker”, with the single art makeup by internet personality James Charles. The single was released on 15 March 2019.

 

 

  1. Cole – The Off Season (2019)
  • The Off-Season is speculated to be J. Cole’s fourth mixtape. It is expected to be released sometime before Cole’s sixth studio album, The Fall Off. On August 7, 2018, J. Cole released a freestyle titled “Album of the Year.” This is the mixtape’s lead single and its release coincided with the tape’s announcement. In both the SoundCloud and music video description, Cole writes: “The Off Season coming soon… All roads lead to The Fall Off.” The cover art for “Album of the Year” contains additional references to The Off-Season, showing two time-frames, each 45 minutes in length, possibly referencing the mixtape’s run-time.
