Video Games to play over the summer.



Elden Ring 

        Developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. If you have ever played any Dark Souls games before this is a must play game for the summer. An action role-playing game filled with a story and tons of side quests and enveloped into a fantasy world of worthy boss battles. This game is known for being a very hard game and there is no changing difficulty. All of the enemies are the same level and although it is possible to team up with friends, this game is more of a solo grinding game. With a grand total of 120 bosses in the game it is a worthy challenge for you to spend your time beating every boss.


Pokemon Legends: Arceus

        Developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo. Pokemon Legends: Arceus is an action role-playing game to play on the switch and is a must play to any devoted pokemon fan. Set in the Sinnoh Region it is an open world and provides a new way to catch pokemon than the traditional formulas in past Pokemon games. Along with that there is a story line that is worthy of following and comes to a satisfying conclusion. The starter pokemon include Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott. There are 242 Pokemon available and 24 new pokemon with 17 of those being Hisuian versions or adaptations of already existing Pokemon. 

Horizon Forbidden West

        Developed by Guerilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and is a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn. The setup is in a post apocalyptic world starring Aloy and her journey to save the world from mechanized creatures. An action role-playing game filled with a great, original storyline and character development. The game is packed with side questions and a huge world allows for lots of exploration and many creatures to tame and ride. 

Kirby and the Forgotten Land

        Developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo. As the 17th installment in the Kirby series. Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a more relaxing game to play compared to the other videogames on this list and comes with scenic views and a charming storyline. Take the journey with Kirby to a mysterious land including many different levels and minigames to play and plenty of secrets to explore. It has a good balance of difficulty where you can take this game slow and really enjoy it. 

Dying Light 2


        The undead walk the nighttime streets again as a new virus has unleashed among the population, leaving the world in a post-apocalyptic state but this time around, UV light is an assistance in this round. Dying Light 2 brings back the parkour zombie action that made the original title a popular one in 2015. The title introduces a new addition in the Dying Light formula as online CO-OP debuts with the ability to bring in 3 online friends into the fight against the undead.

Gran Turismo 7

        25 years ago, the original Gran Turismo was released on the original Playstation in the Winter of 1997, beginning an iconic Racing Simulation series that was developed by Polyphony Digital as a long time Playstation exclusive. This year, the 7th installment of the series arrived on Playstation 4 and Playstation 5, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the long running series. The new title brings in over 400 cars from all over the Motorsports world and brings in the ability to tune, modify, and tweak your personal GT7 ride into your dream racing ride.


Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

        Returning to the land of the Borderlands’ signature Dungeons and Dragons parody, Tiny Tina welcomes you back to Dragon Keep for another round of table-top role playing action and chaos within Borderlands’ chaotic formula and world. A sequel to the “Assault on Dragon Keep” DLC from the previous title, Borderlands 2, it brings back the world that was established within the DLC and the fantastical stylings that were brought with it. 

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

        Since 2005, TT Games and later on, Warner Brothers, brought the gaming world a slew of LEGO Star Wars titles to the gaming industry ranging from the many films that the series have produced. After taking off 2020 from releasing a title, the Skywalker Saga brings in all 9 Star Wars films from the original trilogy, to the Prequel trilogy, and to the Disney trilogy, all into one LEGO themed and style title. As well, several DLC packs surrounding the spin offs films such as Solo and Rogue One, and the Mandelorian TV series were released to complete the LEGO Star Wars experience on Next-Gen consoles.
