iCarly: Back to Break the Internet

iCarly is a show that first aired on Nickelodeon back in September of 2007 and ran until November of 2012. The show was based around a girl named Carly who goes viral on the internet and relies on her friends to help run video show. Even though fans thought the show was over, on December 8th of 2020 the creators announced an iCarly reboot. 

Most of the original actors have confirmed their return to the show including Miranda Crossgrove (Carly Shay), Jerry Trainor (Spencer Shay) and Nathan Kress (Freddie Benson).

So far, Jenette McCurdy (Sam Puckett) and Noah Munck (Gibby) and have announced they will not be returning for the reboot.

“The new show is mainly being made with all the original fans in mind,” actress Miranda Crosgrove said. “Although we hope families will enjoy it together, this version of the show will be more mature and follow our lives now.”

With all the talk regarding the reboot, childhood fans are excitedly anticipating the release. 

“iCarly was a super big part of my childhood,” junior Courtney Sickler said. “I think having a reboot will be really nostalgic and fun to watch.”
